Hearing aid for determination of the volume of the auditory canal and related adaptation method

The hearing aid has a signal processing device for converting an input signal into an output signal supplied to a transducer converting it into a corresponding sound signal, the electrical input impedance of the transducer used as a measure for an acoustic impedance parameter, with determination of a mechanical resonance from the electrical input impedance characteristic, the shifting of the mechanical resonance from the normal mechanical resonance used for automatic correction of the hearing aid frequency characteristic. An independent claim is included for a method of matching a hearing aid to the acoustic impedance characteristics of the auditory channel of the user .
