<p>Method of bookbinding and an adhesive bookbinder for performing the method is disclosed. The method comprises the following steps. In the first step, the spine of a cover which sandwiches a sheet stack is heated to melt-hot melt adhesive. In the second step, two opposite pressure is applied on the two parts of the cover to cause the cover between the spine and the hinge portion incline inward before the adhesive cools. An angle that is formed by the cover between the hinge portion and the spine and the spine is smaller than the same angle before applying the pressure. A fold line is provided on the hinge portions of the top cover and the bottom cover respectively where the pressure is applied. The adhesive bookbinder includes a bottom plate, a frame, a slot, a baffle, a clamping plate and a heating member at least. A fixing plate is provided between the slot and the baffle. There is a protrusion on one end of the fixing plate near the slot. A pushing plate is provided between the frame and the clamping plate. There is another protrusion on one end of the pushing plate near the slot. The mentioned two protrusions face oppositely. A pushing component engages with the pushing plate.</p> |
