A device for containing and dispensing tablets capable of rapidly discharging and filling the tablets and reduced in size, comprising a cylindrical drum, a drum driving means, a plurality of tablet cassette mounting stands (341) fitted to the outer surface of the drum, tablet cassettes detachably fitted to the tablet cassette mounting stands, and a guide passage guiding the tablets discharged from the tablet cassettes to the inside of the drum. Also, the device comprises a conveying robot liftably and rotatably installed in the drum and conveying a vial bottle held by an arm between an accepting/receiving position located on the outside an opening part at the upper end or lower end of the drum and a tablet filling position for filling the tablets discharged through the guide passage. The position of at least either of the drum and the conveying robot is controlled so that the opening part of the vial bottle held by the conveying robot matches the outlet of the guide passage. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
