An electrode assembly for a secondary battery is provided to inhibit defects generated on a ceramic layer and causing degradation of the quality of a secondary battery, thereby improving the safety and reliability of a battery. An electrode assembly comprises a cathode plate(10,11), an anode plate(20,21) and a separator interposed between the cathode plate and the anode for preventing electric short between both electrode plates, wherein the separator comprises a ceramic layer(30) formed on one surface of the cathode plate and the anode plate, and the ceramic layer has a surface roughness(Ra) corresponding to 0.5%-10% based on the thickness thereof. |
