<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device which can demonstrate higher performance regarding specifications which are not determined by technical standard. <P>SOLUTION: The memory device includes a non-volatile memory in which data is written per write-in unit composed of multiple cells and a controller for controlling the memory. The controller controls the memory by dividing the memory space of the memory into multiple partitions, and receives a second command requesting access to a second partition before completion of processing of a first command requesting access to a first partition, following a writing procedure which defines that the memory device shall request a host device to transmit partial write data which is a part of divided write data by specifying the size upon a request for writing write data in the memory from the host device. The partial write data has a size of an integer multiple of a size where the sum of the partial write data and additional data becomes maximum under the size of the write-in unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
