Disclosed are a method and apparatus for testing a router. The method comprises: a test device generates a test case; the test device converts the generated test case into a network configuration (NETCONF) message; the test device sends the NETCONF message to a router, and receives a returned message from the router; the test device sends an execution command, on the router, in the test case to the router, and receives an execution result from the router; and the test device compares an expected test result in the test case with a test result in the returned message and with the received execution result separately, and displays the comparison result. |
