<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and nondestructively purify with easy reproducibility by adding and mixing a carbon nanotube to a solvent to prepare a composite material suspension and separating a precipitated solid material. SOLUTION: A carbon nanotube is added to a solvent containing a material which extracts the nanotube. The soln. is mixed to produce a nanotube composite suspension, and the solid material is separated and precipitated. Then the nanotube composite material suspension is separated from the precipitated solid material. The extracting material of the nanotube consists of one or more kinds of polymers, oligomers, monomers or combination of them, and for example, an org. solvent such as poly(m-phenylene-co-2,5-dioctoxy-p-phenylenevinylene) is used. The soln. is preferably mixed at least for 20 min in a flow output ultrasonic bath. The nanotube composite material prevents deterioration of plastics due to light, heat and air.</p> |
