<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punching device performing punching processing under a punching condition corresponding to sheet-like member information such as the kind and thickness of a sheet-like member of a punching object. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming system 1 opens a punch hole corresponding to the punching condition in paper P by a punching device 230, by acquiring the punching condition corresponding to acquired paper information from a paper information-punching condition table of associatively storing the paper information and the punching condition such as a position, the number and the size of a hole formed in the paper P, when a copier 100 acquires the paper information such as a kind and the thickness of the paper P from operation of its operation part 190 and/or by a paper information detecting sensor 303.
