PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide titanium oxide high in volume during lithium elimination and low in irreversible capacity, a manufacturing method of the titanium oxide, an active material for secondary battery mainly containing the titanium oxide and a manufacturing method of the active material, and a secondary battery using the titanium oxide as the active material.SOLUTION: The invention relates to titanium oxide represented by the formula HLiNaTiO, where 0≤w1+w2<1 and 0≤α<0.3 are satisfied. The titanium oxide has maximum peak with diffraction angle 2θ in a range of 18±0.5° and further peaks in ranges of 10.4±0.5°, 16.2±0.5° and 19.3±0.5° respectively in a powder X ray diffraction pattern using a CuKα ray.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
