PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink composition for a ball point pen which can suppress corrosion of a carbide ball with time and maintain excellent writing performance for a long period of time, and a ball point pen incorporating the same.SOLUTION: There is provided an aqueous ink composition for a ball point pen containing a coloring agent, water and phosphoric acid ester represented by the formula (1).
