PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a sensor from being struck by a leaped stone or splashed with water, facilitate maintenance and make the best use of a vacant space by installing an exhaust gas sensor on the upper wall of an exhaust pipe in front of the right projecting part of a crankcase and outside the right side surface of a cylinder block. SOLUTION: A crankcase 14 has a right projecting part 14a projected sideways over the right side surface 15a of a cylinder block 15. An exhaust pipe 26 connected to an exhaust port 25 of a cylinder head 16 is extended backward to pass under the right projecting part 14a outside the right side surface 15a. An O2 sensor which is an exhaust gas sensor is installed in the exhaust pipe 26 extending from the upper wall of the exhaust pipe 26 to the upper side outside the right side surface 15a. Thus, the O2 sensor 29 can be effectively disposed in a vacant space where the engine main body 17 and the O2 sensor 29 will not interfere with each other, and the O2 sensor can be protected from leaped stones and splashed water. |
