COMPLEXES AND COMPONENTS THEREOF FOR INTRODUCING POLYNUCLEOTIDES INTO EUKARYOTIC CELLS

Polypeptide-polynucleotide macromolecular complexes for the introduction of polynucleotides into eukaryotic cells are provided. The complexes are constructed of mammalian polypeptides and chimeras of such polypeptides. The mammalian polypeptides may contain amino acids that differ from their original eukaryotic counterparts as well as short non-mammalian polypeptides linking various mammalian polypeptides. The complexes would also include a polynucleotide in addition to the other components. The system offers means of treatment of numerous disorders.
