PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic solution for driving an aluminum electrolytic capacitor which can prevent deterioration of an electrode caused by generation of hydrous oxide. SOLUTION: In the electrolytic solution for driving an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, ethylene glycol is a main solvent, and at least azelaic acid, sebacic acid, organic carboxylic acid such as decane dicarboxylic acid or salt thereof, boric acid or its ammonium salt, and furyl of 1.0 to 5.0 wt% (shown by a chemical formula) are mixed.
