CONTROL METHOD OF ION GENERATOR

A control method of an ion generator is provided to detect and display the error in the connection status of a metal or disconnection of a power supply line or complete consumption of the metal to let a user check and take steps. The control method of an ion generator includes the steps of: generating ion by the electrolysis of the ion generator by applying control voltage to the ion generator to let electrolysis conducted in the ion generator; detecting the magnitude of the driving currents that flows through a metal as the control voltage is applied; and deciding that the electrolysis has not been conducted in the ion generator when the magnitude of the driving current is reduced to a previously set up magnitude, and displaying it on a display portion.
