An elevator facility and a usage of the same for a high-speed elevator are provided to reduce a pressure impact which causes noise and vibration by forming a pathway of the elevator such that the pathway has a partially expanded lateral surface. An elevator facility comprises an elevator pathway(10), a counterweight(12) and an elevator(11). The counterweight(12) and the elevator(11) move along guide tracks(14,15) which have substantially straight lines. The elevator(11) is connected to the counterweight(12) through a support member. When the elevator(11) moves, the counterweight(12) moves in an opposite direction to the elevator(11), and the elevator(11) passes by the counterweight(12) at a proximal area(A) of the elevator pathway(10). When the elevator(11) passes by the counterweight(12), a lateral surface expansion unit(E) of the elevator pathway(10) is formed at the proximal area(A).
