PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide zirconia powder which is suitable for an abrasive or a sintering raw material for zirconia ceramics.

SOLUTION: Zirconia powder having a lithium fluoride content of 1-200 ppm, a crystallite diameter of ≥50 nm, and a specific surface area of ≤10 m2/g does not contain coarse and hard aggregated particles, and is suitable for an abrasive or a sintering raw material.
