摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a similar contrast of a blood vessel in an observation image even in an endoscope having different light transmission characteristics of a light guide.SOLUTION: Plural endoscopes having different light transmission characteristics of a light guide are connected so as to be replaced freely, to a connection part. A semiconductor light source emits light for blood vessel information observation. A light source control part performs control for increasing output of the semiconductor light source for compensating for a reduction amount of an amount of emitted light for the blood vessel information observation which lowers when the endoscope having relatively low light transmission rate is connected, relative to when the endoscope having relatively high light transmission ratio is connected. When output of the semiconductor light source reaches an upper limit value, an image processing part executes contrast emphasis processing in addition to image processing for an image signal output by the endoscope having high light transmission rate, to an image signal output by the endoscope having low light transmission rate with respect to the light for blood vessel information observation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
