<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-Cr seamless steel tube, capable of preventing both of occurrence of material crack, scabs or rash flaw in a piercer boring process and occurrence of burn-in in a plug mill rolling process in a conventional technique when a workpiece is a high-Cr steel. <P>SOLUTION: An induction heating device 8 is installed at the inlet side of a plug mill 3B to induction-heat a tube body 11 passing through the inlet side over the whole length. A first heating step is performed within the temperature range of 1,100 to 1,250°C and after stretch-rolling of a first step following the boring, the temperature of the tube body 11 is elevated by 30-180°C by the induction heating device 8 to start the stretch-rolling of a second step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
