<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating light source capable of illuminating light uniformly in all directions by effectively irradiating light from a light emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: An illuminating light source comprises: a first optical transparent member 1 having a wire lead 1a; a light emitting element 2 comprising a light emitting layer 2a, and an electrode 2b formed on the front surface 2c of the light emitting element 2 so as to be in parallel with the light emitting layer 2a, wherein light is emitted from the front surface 2c and back surface 2d of the light emitting element 2; and a second optical transparent member 4 for covering the back surface 2d of the light emitting element 2 and both surfaces of the front and back of the first optical transparent member 1. Thus light emitted around from the light emitting element 2 can be effectively irradiated to the outside, thereby illuminating light in various directions of the illuminating light source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
