PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lipstick composition having few feeling of drying, few sense of incompatibility and unremarkable coming off of color of a lipstick because of external friction such as drinking, eating or the like by including a specific metal salt, a metal hydroxide, a water-soluble alginate, a specific metal chelate of tar coloring matter and a specific alcohol. SOLUTION: (A) A compound selected from a di- or trivalent metal salt (e.g. calcium chloride) and a di- or trivalent metal hydroxide (e.g. aluminum hydroxide), (B) a water-soluble alginate (e.g. sodium alginate), (C) a metal (e.g. aluminum, barium) chelate compound of a red-based or a orange-based tar coloring matter having a -COONa group or a -COOK group in the structure and (D) a monofunctional alcohol having >=16C and being an oil component having liquid appearance at 20 deg.C are included. Preferably the components A, B and D are 0.1-5 wt.%, 0.1-5 wt.% and 15-45 wt.% in a solid lipstick respectively. |
