PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the lift quantity of a sub-chamber gas valve smaller than that of an intake valve by offsetting the fulcrum center of a sub-chamber gas valve rocker arm rockable on the push rod side of an intake valve rocker arm to the sub-chamber gas valve side from the fulcrum center of a rocker shaft for supporting the intake valve rocker arm. SOLUTION: An intake valve rocker arm 2 supported by a rocker shaft 3 in a fulcrum center A swells the support part of a sub-chamber gas valve rocker arm 4 to approach (offset) a fulcrum center B to a sub-chamber gas valve 6 side from the fulcrum center A by a distance C (offset), and engages the tip of the sub-chamber gas valve rocker arm 4 with a sub-chamber gas valve 6. Accordingly, since the rocker ratio of the sub-chamber gas valve rocker arm 4 is smaller than that of the intake valve rocker arm 2, the lift quantity of the sub-chamber gas valve 6 is minimized. Consequently, the rocker ratio of the sub-chamber gas valve rocker arm 4 is properly selected, whereby the lift quantity of the sub-chamber gas valve 6 can be released from the limitation of the lift quantity in intake valve to minimize the capacity of the sub-chamber.
