PURPOSE: A protein hydrolysate fixative for natural dyeing and a natural dyeing method using the same are provided to enhance dyeing property and color fastness. CONSTITUTION: A protein hydrolysate fixative for natural dyeing is prepared by: mixing protein ingredients selected among soy juice, milk, and soymilk, and 0.05-0.15 wt% of protease selected among alkalase, endoprotease, and exoprotease, and stirring the mixture at 50-60 deg. C for 8-36 hours. The protein hydrolysate fixative enhances dyeing property and color fastness by low molecular structure of protein.
