PURPOSE: A method for repairing a manhole is provided to repair an old manhole, the joint of the manhole, and a pipeline regardless of the diameter and shape of the manhole and the number and arrangement of the pipeline. CONSTITUTION: A method for repairing a manhole comprises the following steps. A water diverting packer is installed in a manhole(10) and a pipeline(20) connected to the manhole. Mortar is injected into a crack inside the manhole. A wire mesh is installed along the inner circumference of the manhole. A reinforcement material(60) is mounted on the joint of the manhole and the pipeline. An elastic reinforcement tube(70) is inserted into the manhole. The top end of the reinforcement tube is fixed to the top end of a manhole side surface. An adhesive is applied on the outer surface of the reinforcement tube or the inner circumference of the manhole. Air or high-temperature water is injected into the manhole for applying pressure in order to expand and harden the reinforcement tube. The air or high-temperature water is discharged for cutting the reinforcement tube and opening the pipeline when the application of the adhesive is finished. The water diverting packer is removed from the pipeline. |
