The purpose of the present invention is to provide an agent for preventing myopia and a myopia progression inhibitor. Specifically provided is an agent for preventing myopia or myopia progression inhibitor containing, as an active ingredient, a compound having the following structural formula or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof. (In the formula, R1 and R2 are groups selected independently from among hydrogen and optionally phenyl-substituted C1-6 alkyl groups.)
