摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the passage resistance of pipes and facilitate the execution and reduce the construction time and cost by connecting a plurality of drain pipes connected between respective floors provided with vibration isolation devices to a catchment basin and installing an expansion joint absorbing vibration in the catchment basin. SOLUTION: Drain pipes 13a-13e or the like arranged on floor faces 10 are collected in a catchment basin 14 through one line, in a building in which vibration isolation devices 12 are disposed between floor faces 10, 11. The catchment basin 14 is constituted of a cover 15 and a body 16 which are hermetically sealed mutually and connected to each other through an expansion joint 17 made of a flexible synthetic resin material or the like absorbing vibration. The inside bottom 16a of the body of the catchment basin 14 is tilted to descend toward the center and a large-sized drain pipe 18 is connected to the bottom center. The breadthwise dimension of the catchment basin 14 is set larger than the maximum vibration isolation length. In this way, vibration isolation joints are not required in respective drain pipes and hence, the installation works are simplified.</p>
