PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating paper container having no adverse effect on the environment, without generating a biq amount of block smoke in incineration, and besides exert no adverse affection on a human body by forming a heat insulation layer with laminate foaming material in which a polyolefin resin foams with moisture contained in water, for covering with the surface of the paper outside. SOLUTION: The trunk outer peripheral surface of a paper container 11 is covered with heat insulation material 12. The paper container 11 comprises an inverted conical trapezoid having its opened in the upper face, and the inner surface of paper 3 is laminated with a polyethylene layer 4. The heat insulation material 12 is formed of a laminate foamed material having a polyolefin resin layer 6 foamed by moisture contained in paper 5 on one surface of paper 5, the polyolefin resin layer 6 is heat-sealed on the surface of paper 3 of the paper container 11. The laminate foaming material is applied to the trunk outer peripheral surface of the paper container as heat insulation material with the surface of the paper is set outside. A covering method by heat sealing 7 improves the productivity, and can inhibit bad smell of an adhesive from attendance.
