The present invention relates to a driving information providing device for group driving of a plurality of vehicles and a method thereof. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the driving information providing device for the group driving of the vehicles capable of including an external driving information acquisition unit, a driving state notification unit, and a driving information providing unit and preventing the generation of bulk traffics between the vehicle and a management server (cloud server) caused by the collection of unnecessary vehicle driving information by recognizing the vehicles which perform the group driving as one vehicle and transmitting related driving information to the management server periodically or on the generation of an event, and a method thereof.
