PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image inspection device capable of precisely performing detection processing of a relatively long-term defect from among periodical defects in a system for inspecting an image outputted onto a recording medium by image formation output.SOLUTION: Time-series data for indicating variation in density of an image corresponding to a position in a conveyance direction of a plurality of recording media to be conveyed continuously are generated, a sampling interval, namely an interval of sampling points, is set based on information between image formation areas in recording media to be conveyed continuously such that sampling points in sampling of density values at a predetermined interval from the generated time-series data are included in image formation areas in the respective recording media, and a frequency analysis is performed to the density values sampled from the time-series data at the sampling period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
