PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively prevent the occurrence of rotating movement between a turning ring and a support. SOLUTION: A turning ring 11 is fixed to the rotating upper chassis of a civil engineering machine and the like. A support 13 is fixed to a fixed lower chassis, and is provided with a brake block 14. The brake block has teeth 18, and the teeth 18 can be meshed with a gear train 12 provided for the center circumference of the turning ring 11. When the brake block is advanced by a pressure cylinder 15, the teeth 18 are meshed with the gear train 12, and the relative movement between the support 13 and the turning ring 11, that is, the upper part and the lower part, is thereby prohibited. When the brake block 14 is evacuated, the teeth 18 and the gear train 12 can freely be rotated. |
