A vehicle sub battery is provided to maximize electric energy by parallel connecting an EDLC(Electric Double Layer Capacitor) to a vehicle battery. A vehicle sub battery includes a surge voltage protecting part, a reverse voltage sensing part, an overheat temperature sensing part, a cell voltage sensing part, a resistor, and a sub power switch control part. The surge voltage protecting part protects an EDLC(EDLC) from a surge voltage. The reverse voltage sensing part protects a control circuit and the EDLC from a reverse voltage. The overheat temperature sensing part protects the EDLC from overheat temperature. The cell voltage sensing part prevents an electrical impact of a vehicle battery during abnormality of the EDLC. The resistor and the sub power switch control part control a charging current of the EDLC.
