PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot attachment method capable of obtaining stable joining force by unifying adhesive force (joining force) in a circumferential direction, and a constant velocity universal joint using the method.SOLUTION: A ring-shaped high frequency induction heating coil is externally fitted to a boot end portion in a state of keeping an inner diameter face of the heating coil in contact with an outer diameter face as an anti-attaching face of the boot end portion. High frequency electric current is applied to the high frequency induction heating coil to heat only a surface layer part of an attached face of a mating member by high frequency induction. Thus an attaching face of the inner diameter face of the boot end portion and the attached face of the outer diameter face of the mating member can be joined and integrated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
