PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily deal with the characteristic change or control specification change of a motor-driven air blower. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is provided with a motor-driven air blower 2 for sucking litter, a current detecting means 21 for detecting a current flowing through the motor-driven air blower 2, a control means 23 for controlling the input of the motor-driven air blower 2 based on the output of the current detecting means 21 and a non-volatile storage means 22 for storing the control value of the control means 23 based on the output of the current detecting means 21. Since the control means 23 reads plural phase controlled variables and controls the motor-driven air blower 2 with this read phase controlled variable, the control change can be performed only by changing the stored contents in the storage means 22.
