<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device highly convenient to a user in association with widespread use of a USB device. <P>SOLUTION: This coordinate input device allows use of a basic function when an OS standard driver is used instead of a driver for the coordinate input device even if it is not installed in a host computer. The coordinate input device is provided with a storage medium controllable by the host computer for storing a driver and an electronic manual for facilitating installation of the driver.
