PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chimney dismantling method, efficiently performing dismantling work for an inner cylinder made of fire brick and dismantling work for an outer cylinder made of concrete according to a series of work process using one lifting machine while sharing a driving part of a dismantling apparatus. SOLUTION: This chimney dismantling method includes: an inner cylinder dismantling process, in which a fire brick dismantling apparatus 15 is fitted to a rotary connecting table 20 of the driving body part 22, and while it is lifted by the lifting machine 21 to be inserted in the interior of the chimney 10, the dismantled fire bricks 11 are dropped in the interior of the chimney 10 and simultaneously the inner cylinder 12 is sequentially dismantled from the above; and an outer cylinder dismantling process, in which a concrete dismantling apparatus 32 is fitted to the rotary connecting table 20 of the driving body part 22 in place of the fire brick dismantling apparatus, and lifted by the lifting machine 21, an outer cylinder 13 of a part where the inner cylinder 12 is previously dismantled is dismantled by the concrete dismantling apparatus 32, and while the dismantled concrete is dropped in the interior of the chimney 10, the outer cylinder 13 is dismantled sequentially from the upside.
