<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control deterioration of electrode catalyst and electrolyte membrane at the time of operation stop of a fuel cell stack. <P>SOLUTION: A control method of a fuel cell system includes steps of: shutting off circulation of reaction gas in the fuel cell stack 20 by closing valves vf<SB>1</SB>, vf<SB>2</SB>, va<SB>1</SB>and va<SB>2</SB>under the control of a valve control unit 32, in compliance with stop command of a command section 52 during operation of the fuel cell stack 20; connecting a power accumulator 54 to the fuel cell stack 42; consuming oxidizing gas which remains between an oxidizing gas reaction passages 40a and 40b, and fuel gas which remains between a fuel gas reaction passages 34a and 34b and in a fuel gas buffer tank 50 to predetermined gas concentrations or below respectively; storing electric power of a predetermined level in a power accumulator 54; connecting the power accumulator 54 with a discharge member 56; and discharging and consuming the power stored in the power accumulating member 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
