PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for production of hydrogen fluoride, capable of reducing adherence, improving heat transfer property by preventing generation of a pasty state throughout the entire process of producing hydrogen fluoride, and also capable of achieving high energy efficiency and low corrosion behavior by causing reaction at low temperatures.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for production of hydrogen fluoride by reacting calcium fluoride with sulfuric acid. The method includes a process of blending and reacting calcium fluoride particles and sulfuric acid so that the mixture thereof keeps substantially the state of granular powders while feeding sulfuric acid to calcium fluoride at the flow rate of sulfuric acid of 0.002 to 1 mol/min per 1 mol of calcium fluoride until the molar ratio of sulfuric acid to calcium fluoride becomes 0.9 to 1.1 to obtain hydrogen fluoride.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
