PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high capacity and high output vanadium redox battery.SOLUTION: A vanadium redox battery includes a positive electrode 20, a negative electrode 30, a barrier membrane 12 for sectioning the positive electrode 20 and negative electrode 30, and passing hydrogen ions, and an electrolyte. The positive electrode 20 and negative electrode 30 each contain a carbon material. The carbon material contained in at least one of the positive electrode 20 and negative electrode 30 has a volume resistivity of 0.15 Ω cm or less measured by four probe method while compressed at 12.7 MPa, and a bulk density of 1 g/cmor less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
