PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system that performs efficient cell selection and cell re-selection when the number of DL carriers simultaneously used by a terminal is more than the number of UL carriers in carrier aggregation (CA).SOLUTION: A radio terminal is in a radio communication system including a first cell having an uplink carrier and a downlink carrier and a second cell having a downlink carrier but not an uplink carrier. The radio terminal comprises: a reception unit that receives first information to identify the first cell among peripheral cells of a connection cell from a connection radio base station forming the connection cell which is the first cell or the second cell; and a connection unit that transmits a connection request to the radio base station forming the first cell identified on the basis of the first information when the radio terminal is not connected with a radio base station.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
