<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain nonaqueous electrolyte providing a battery of high capacity and excellent storing property, and to obtain a nonaqueous electrolyte battery manufactured by using it. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte contains 0.001 vol.% or more and less than 2 capacity% of a compound expressed by a general formula (1) in nonaqueous solvent. Alternatively, the nonaqueous electrolyte contains 0.001 vol.% or more and less than 10 vol.% of the compound expressed by the general formula (1) in the nonaqueous solvent, and further contains annular carbonates with unsaturated bonding in the electrolyte. R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>in the general formula (1) each independently indicate alkyl group with carbon numbers from 1 to 12 containing ether bonding in their structures, as well as being replaced by fluorine atom.
