The invention relates to a method for protecting label switch path. The method includes: setting the relative interface type label in the Record Route Object (RRO) corresponding to every RSVP node interface; the RRO lies in the node list; transmitting the list to the backward position; the RSVP node of the backward position receives the RRO node list that comes from the upward position, based on the said interface type label to find the nearest second RRO node relative to the outlet, and based on the protective label of RRO node to set next next hop protection on label switch path. The present invention also provides an apparatus and system for protecting label switch path. The RSVP node can protect the next next hop of upward LSP correctly.
