A method for an optical network unit accessing the network is provided, the method includes configuring the wavelength negotiating tunnel between the optical network unit and the optical line terminal, the said tunnel is used for negotiating the data tunnel for the optical network unit accessing the network, negotiating and determining the data tunnel for the said optical network unit accessing the network on the wavelength negotiating tunnel according to the data tunnel set in the network, thus the data tunnel between the optical network unit and the optical line terminal can be configured. An optical line terminal, an optical network unit and an optical network system are also provided in the present invention. By the present invention, it can reduce the delay for the optical network unit accessing the network, improve the system efficiency, and it is easy to implement.
