PURPOSE: A capsulated colorant, a method for preparing the same, and an ink composition including the capsulated colorant are provided to ensure excellent water resistance, light-proof property, abrasion resistance, optical density, cartridge nozzle clogging, and ink storage stability. CONSTITUTION: A capsulated colorant comprises a coloring agent and a polymer resin coating the coloring agent. The polymer resin comprises a basic monomer and a polymerizable unsaturated monomer. The basic monomer includes a chemical structure selected from amine, amide, azole, pyridine and pyrrolidone within molecule. The content of the basic monomer is 1 - 80 parts by weight based on the polymerizable unsaturated monomer 100.0 parts by weight.
