PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a simplified structure in which a high-pressure piping system is saved from a sealed water circulating system as much as possible, in a centrifugal steam compressor including sealed water and discharge water with higher pressures than that of the atmosphere.SOLUTION: A shaft sealing system 50 is capable of supplying high-pressure sealed water and low-pressure sealed water. The shaft sealing system 50 includes: a circulating water reservoir 240 for reserving circulating water; a positive displacement pump 200 for sucking the circulating water from the reservoir to be capable of supplying the sealed water to a first pressure regulating valve 290 provided in a high-pressure-side sealed water line 330 of the centrifugal compressor 100 and a second pressure regulating valve 300 provided in the low-pressure-side sealed water line 310 of the centrifugal compressor; an accumulator 210 arranged between the positive displacement pump and the first and second pressure regulating valves; return pipes 315, 316, 335, 336 for returning, to the circulating water reservoir, the sealed water returning after water-sealing a seal means of the centrifugal compressor; and depressurizing means 313, 314, 333, 334 interposed in a mid-course of these return pipes. |
