PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device of an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing occurrence of a phenomenon that excessive voltage is applied to an ignition plug, while suppressing increase in manufacturing cost of the ignition plug.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine is operated by supplying gas fuel. The ignition device of the internal combustion engine acquires a voltage prediction value VX on the basis of the relationship between a road surface gradient θ, which is the gradient of a road surface on which a vehicle travels, and a necessary throttle opening SCA (step S14), and when the voltage prediction value VX exceeds a voltage determination value VXTh (step S15:YES), advance an ignition period (step S17).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
