In coating vehicle bodywork of bodywork parts by electrodip coating where the bodywork or their parts have a predominantly closed hollow space and/or at least one surface difficult-to-get-at, comprises, before treatment of the bodywork or its parts by electrodip liquid, carbon coating (sooting) parts of the hollow spaces or difficult-to-get-at surfaces to increase the electrical conductivity. An independent claim is included for vehicle bodywork or its parts coated as above.
