An exciting pole of a pole change type synchronous electric motor is provided to increase synchronization speed and torque by increasing magnetic flux of a magnet layer. In an exciting pole of a pole change type synchronous electric motor(100), a stator(110) has a number of teeth(111) wound with a motor coil(112). A rotor(120) rotates from the stator, and has a number of conductors(122). A magnet layer(130) has air gap with the tooth and is installed in the rotor, and a re-magnetized magnet material. An exciting pole(140) is prepared to face the magnet layer adjacently to the tooth of the stator, and is wound with an excitation coil. A stepped coil winding part is formed in the circumference of the exciting pole wound with the excitation coil.
