The invention is directed to systems, methods and computer program products for optimizing a wireless channel between a user equipment ("UE") (101) and a base station ("BS") (103). An exemplary method comprises determining a first power level for a first antenna of the UE (101); determining a second power level for a second antenna of the UE (101); and transmitting a pilot signal from the first and second antennas substantially simultaneously, wherein the pilot signal is transmitted from the first antenna at the first power level and the pilot signal is transmitted from the second antenna at the second power level.
