<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, for determining the acceptability of laser weld, which can monitor the failure of welding strength and the unwelded condition due to a gap between resin materials, during laser welding, and to provide a device using this method. <P>SOLUTION: The acceptability of the welding condition of a welded part 3 is determined by detecting the amount of generated heat of the welded part 3 with the help of an infrared sensor 2 during the laser welding of a resin material 4 with permeability to a laser light L and a resin material 5 with absorption to the laser light L. In other words, it is determined whether or not the welded part 3 is formed with the charging of an appropriate energy to the welded part 3 by detecting the generated heat condition of the welded part 3 using an infrared sensor matching the wavelength of the infrared light with successful permeability, from a viewpoint of infrared permeation properties of the permeable resin. In addition, it is possible to determine the acceptability of the welded part 3 even in case a charged energy varies by detecting the amount of generated heat of the permeable resin material with the help of the infrared sensor 2A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
