PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assembling a crossing bar breakage preventer for accurately disposing a safety device at a predetermined position by using an easily identifiable display means. SOLUTION: In this method of assembling a crossing bar breakage preventer, directional arrows 35 with different colors directed in right and left two directions are stamped on the holder 7 of the crossing bar breakage preventer, and mark indicators 37 of the same colors as the directional arrows are stamped on two hinge joints 6a, 6b, respectively. When the crossing bar breakage preventer is assembled, a pin is so attached as to be adapted to the hinge joint 6a, 6b on which the mark indicator 37 of the same color as the directional arrow 35 facing a rail track side is marked.
