发明名称 THERMAL HEAD DRIVE METHOD
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To equalize the linear width and printing density of the first dot line to those of the second and following dot lines by providing the longer drive time of a heat generating element of a thermal head for the first dot line in the first line of printing information than the drive time of heat generating elements of the second and following dot lines. CONSTITUTION:A medium 1 is set to a printer immediately after a power supply is turned ON and then is fed to an arrow direction. When a position for a printing start line comes to a position corresponding to the heat generating element of a thermal head, the feed of the medium is temporarily stopped. Under this state, the heat generating element of the thermal head which meets the dot composition of the first dot line for characters B and E in the first line of the printing information is driven to perform printing for the first dot line. At that time, the drive time of the thermal head is longer than those of the second and following dot lines. When printing of the first dot line is completed in this way, the temporarily suspended medium feed is resumed, and printing of the second dot line is performed at a prearranged constant medium feed rate and thermal head drive timing. Printing of dot lines after the second dot line is performed at the same settings.</p>
